My sewing student's testimonial, Amanda Aitken

"If you want to learn to sew, you want to learn it from Nicole! Sewing used to seem like this mysterious skill that was so far beyond me, but Nicole made it simple and accessible. Her extensive fashion design background comes through loud and clear in every lesson (she really does know everything there is to know about sewing and garment construction!). I would recommend sewing lessons with Nicole to anyone. She's a patient yet whimsical teacher, and I love spending time with her every Tuesday."

Upcycling Accessories Workshop with The City of Montreal & The Montreal Children's Library

I offer Upcycling accessory workshops for Kids & Adults. This summer (Thanks to Liz Chan / Creative & Cultural coordinator extraordinaire!) I hosted a workshop with The City of Montreal (Ville Marie) and The Montreal Children's Library
Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value. For example: Taking your slightly used jeans & recreating them into an accessory or another outfit.
If your organization or group is interested in these workshops. Just send me a note at Fairyesque.studio@gmail.com

Couture Xpress by Labcreatif

In 2008 & 2009 I participated in Couture Xpress hosted by Lab Creatif (organization Supporting local Fashion designers), in which I made a dress (or outfit) in 60 minutes using recycled clothing from Village de Valeurs. Here's a peak at my " in the moment" creations. I strongly believe in supporting new talent in the industry
and it's one of the main reasons why I am a teacher & mentor now!!
